Author: My debut picture book series, Happy Hooves, was inspired when I lived in the top of a rustic farmhouse on the southern tip of Spain which had the most amazing far reaching views of rolling hills and the ocean. Farm animals would lazily potter about all day and it was from here that my stories came to life. I now live in Gibraltar with my husband and three children but we regularly visit the Costa de la Luz and it's beautiful, rugged countryside.
Bogie: My married name is Bogie, and worse still, my initial is A. Therefore, I am a bogie. It’s not the name that I used to scribble on the back of my rough book surrounded by red hearts but it brings much amusement to my family and friends – and it is pretty damn good as the name for a children’s author!
Inspiration: Often its a very random conversation with my toddler that acts as my inspiration, and any game that makes my little ones giggle. I also find that a good long walk on a very windy beach in Tarifa does amazing things for the soul and for thinking up silly rhymes.
Things I love: In no particular order, and by no means all, I love: my family, tea, writing, chocolate, walks on the beach, rhyming, scrabble, Sunday roasts, red lipstick, craft, Strictly Come Dancing and catching up with friends.
